Aisling Maki

Account Executive, Public Relations

Aisling is a seasoned writer and media relations maven who both leads and lends support to client projects. Before settling down in Memphis in 2002, she spent much of her early life in the New York Metropolitan area, with stretches spent in Upstate Connecticut and Dublin and Donegal in Ireland. The UCONN alum is an award-winning former journalist with experience working in both television and print newsrooms, and her writing has appeared in publications in more than 20 countries. She's received awards from the Associated Press and Society of Professional Journalists, as well as several awards for fiction writing. Aisling attributes her lifelong love affair with storytelling to her rural Irish roots and her family's favorite pastime, spinning a yarn. She volunteers with animal rescue groups, Memphis Child Advocacy Center and Prison Stories, an outreach writing and storytelling program for incarcerated women. Aisling resides in Midtown Memphis with her daughter, a cat and a guinea pig.
